April 2016 was a historic turning point when the law improved significantly for Ontario's first responders with a diagnosis of PTSD.
 
To all those who spoke up to support this legislative amendment which brought into force presumption of injury for first responders in ON this coin is about you.
To all those who travelled multiple to Queens Park in Toronto to meet with elected officials and tell them the straight goods why the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board rules had to improve for first responders, this coin is about you.
To everyone who met with your own Members of Provincial Parliament in your own ridings with the same message and with the same conviction, this coin is for you.
Because of your collective efforts many more first responders started to receive more timely mental health supports - which they always deserved.
 
To mark the 10th anniversary of the passage of Bill 163 this challenge coin is getting minted.  It will be delivered in a package with documents authored by some of the original lobbyists.
 
Proceeds from the sale of each coin will be donated to I've Got Your Back 911.  This organization
diligently supported Bill 163 back in 2016 and continues to prominently advocate for first responders across Canada and beyond.
